Wide Plank Flooring

We offer solid t&g reclaimed wood flooring in widths ranging from 3” to 10”

• Grades available are rustic,  select , antique and VG.
• Species available are reclaimed Douglas Fir and Hemlock.
• We kiln dry to under 10% prior to molding into t&g flooring.
• Our wide planks have a backside relief profile to provide a stable floor.
• Flooring is supplied unfinished, t&g edges & butt ends
• Standard thickness is ¾” but we also offer 5/8” and ½”
• We supply long lengths up to 12’, avg. approx. 6 – 7’
• Micro bevel is optional

For the unique project we can offer straight edge flooring in widths up to 16” and lengths  to 24’.

Our Antique wide plank flooring exhibits the original saw kerfs and exterior faces of the old timbers. The rich patina acquired over decades of natural aging provide a deep rich finish when your floor is finished. The most unique reclaimed wide plank wood floor available – used extensively in high end homes, lodges and resorts throughout Canada and the USA.

Rustic displays all of the historical character evident in reclaimed wood – knots, ferrous stains from nails and other historical markings. Popular for cabins, lodges, retail operations and custom homes.

Select is a step up from rustic grade with smaller, tighter knots and/or minimal evidence of previous life of the wood. This option is suitable to clients who want a consistently higher grade of wood or they wish to have a reclaimed floor but don’t want to see all the black iron staining and historical markings. Popular with city condos and homes but suitable in any application.

VG is the classic high grade of reclaimed Douglas Fir with clean straight lines and minimal or no knots. This grade is cut from the highest quality reclaimed Douglas Fir timbers. Commonly known as edge grain or vertical grain, it is available in 10 to 20 or more grains per inch. This grade was plentiful in our forests at one time but trees no longer obtain the grain density and size to produce this grade anymore.
