Second Wind Timber supplies custom cut timber packages for timberframe structures. Our timbers are rich in character and quality.
The choice to use reclaimed old growth timber in your timber frame package has many advantages over fresh cut timber such as:

• Ecologically Sustainable – no trees are cut to produce your frame
• Stable and dry – minimal movement in your frame from shrinkage
• Strength – dense straight grain, relatively free of large knots
• Beautiful warm patinas obtained from decades of air drying
• Character and history – iron stains, joinery housings, bolt holes, you can choose how much character you want to see, we offer various levels of character

Timbers are supplied resawn, S4S (planed 4 sides), wire brushed or left original rough sawn depending on the needs of your project.

Appearance options are smooth planed, weathered or reddish brown aged patina.

We carry a unique selection of rare sizes of recycled timbers suitable as ridge beams for your frame. These truly are conversation pieces and have a history all their own. We have timbers up to 54 feet long. Some dimensions are up to 12”x20”!!

In addition to timber for your new frame, we provide reclaimed wood flooring, solid wood doors, 2x6 t&g decking, barnboard, exterior cedar plank siding and rough sawn planks.

Terms are standard. We require a 50% deposit when you place your order and payment of the balance prior to delivery.
All workmanship is guaranteed.
Shipping
We work with reliable carriers and ship material throughout BC, Canada and the USA. Our customs broker is able to facilitate all shipments through to the USA with ease.
Orders are often delivered on 53’ transport trucks so it is necessary to confirm exact address to ensure trucks have access to your site.
